The gift of Winagamie

Mary Beth Nienhaus, longtime educator and friend of the Appleton Education Foundation, gifted Winagamie Golf Course and its assets to AEF on December 31, 2013. AEF is the sole shareholder of Winagamie, Inc. The announcement of this gift was made April 9, 2014.

AEF plans to continue to operate Winagamie as a golf course and expand educational opportunities for students in our community.

Golf & Facilities

Located in the Town of Clayton, Winagamie Golf Course features 27 unique holes and caters to golfers of all levels. Winagamie hosts leagues and many golf outings each season. The Fringe provides food and beverage service.

Operations

Winagamie is governed by its own volunteer board of directors, which reports to the AEF board.

General Manager and Head Golf Professional Matt Burry handles day-to-day operations and reports to the Winagamie board. Contact Burry with questions about all things Winagamie.

Educational Partners

Winagamie Golf Course and AEF have established partnerships with the Appleton Area School District and Fox Valley Technical College to allow students to use Winagamie as a beyond-the-classroom learning facility.

Junior Golf Program

Winagamie is home to the Winagamie Junior Golf Program which offers golf lessons, camps, and leagues to area youth.
