We often receive requests from AASD educators for help with funding items that may fall outside of our grant scope. In some cases, local nonprofit organizations already offer these items at little to no cost for those in need.
. . .
If you’re an educator seeking items listed below, you may want to check with your principal or building secretary to see if reaching out to AASD’s Family & Community Engagement Department is the best first step.
Below is a list of other resources provided by local nonprofit organizations.
Community Clothes Closet – provides free clothing to all people in need.
Jakes Network of Hope – distributes hygiene products and essential daily living items to people of all ages.
The Monthlies Project – a community initiative providing menstrual health products to school-aged students.
St Joseph’s Food Pantry – supplements nutritional needs, free of charge, for the economically distressed within our local communities.
